Hulk Hogan's trademark mustache has been with him most of his entire pro wrestling career. It is a talked about subject in pop culture as well, but soon the staple of Hogan's face might come to an end.
According to TMZ.com, Hogan is planning to shave the classic handlebar for an upcoming movie.
"I'm getting ready to go on some auditions," Hogan said of the bold move. "I'm getting ready to shave my head and my mustache. So that should be scary …"
Hulk Hogan without the thick handlebar 'stache is like peanut butter without the jam, and this movie must worth it if Hogan is prepared to get rid of the iconic cookie-duster. There was a brief period while in World Championship Wrestling, in a program with Sting that Hogan didn't have the mustache.
The leader of the American Mustache Institute, Dr. Aaron Perlut was extremely upset with Hogan and his plans to get rid of his 'stache. He said in an interview with TMZ.com;
"Not only would the removal of his lower nose foliage cause angels in heaven to die and fall to earth -- as is written in biblical texts -- but it would send a poor message to young people of Mustached American descent who wish to embrace the Mustached American experience."
"We do hope that Mr. Hogan, for whom we have great reverence, reconsiders shaving his upper lip shading device as millions of those he has inspired would be greatly let down, leading to mass chaos and deep bouts of depression in the Mustached American community.”
Along with not having the classic 'stache, Hogan is shaving his head as well, so wrestling fans and skeptics will be shocked, to say the least, when they see Hogan's new appearance.
