Nik Antropov and Pavel Kubina to the Columbus Blue Jackets?

Jack PorterCorrespondent IJanuary 4, 2009

With Brian Burke still yet to make his first move, rumours are swirling about in Toronto.

The newest is a deal that would see center Nik Antropov and defenseman Pavel Kubina shipped to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Although right now it is just a rumour, this deal does seem to make sense. Columbus is looking for a puck-moving defenseman, as well as a forward with size.

As for the return of this trade, don't expect much more than a package of prospects and/or picks.

Burke is set on rebuilding and won't make any trades to bring in veterans, save maybe a true heavyweight fighter to add some fists to the Leafs' lineup.
