WWE Storyline: Masked Kane Helps Super Cena Rise Above the Hate
The return of Kane was no surprise to the WWE Universe. Once the promo’s kicked into overdrive it was only a matter of time before the Big Red Monster reared his head on Monday nights.
The bombshell came when Kane’s arrival triggered a stream of crazed attacks on the face of the WWE, John Cena and protege Zack Ryder.
No doubt, that in the minds of all the WWE fans there was confusion. Kane did get his leg mangled by the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry. One would think that Kane would be coming for revenge, but that was not the case. Though Henry was in the sights of the Big Red Machine as he stalked the ring during his return, it was John Cena who received a choke slam to hell.
Still fans believed it was just a casualty of war. John Cena was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but after weeks of brutal beatdowns, the devils' favorite demon proved to be another legend trying to make Cena deal with his issues with the WWE Universe.
Along with Rowdy Rod Piper and Mick Foley, Kane insists that John Cena’s brave front to the WWE Universe is eating him alive, and that the only way for the leader of CeNation to be free, is to embrace his hate!
For months, Cena chants have been split between “Let's go Cena” and “Cena Sucks,” but it seems that the closer Wrestlemania 28 gets, the louder the anti-CeNation’s voice grows. It’s no doubt that Cena’s legend versus legend matchup with The Rock has caused the “Cena Sucks” chants to rain tremendously over fan-filled arenas to the point that the CeNation can barely be heard.
Kane maintains that Cena needs to allow his resentment against the fans to change him into the person he needs to be. This can only mean one thing. Either Cena will turn heel for the storyline continuation with The Rock or he will fight to rise above the hate.
Even though many fans would LOVE to see Mr. CeNation fall prey to the Big Red Monster, how far will Cena’s fall from grace go? Are we about to see a heel turn for the greater good of the legend versus legend match at Wrestlemania? Or, is the WWE trying to trick anti-Cena fans into getting back on the wagon?
