WrestleMania is the biggest event in sports entertainment. This is when each wrestler brings out their A-game and hopes to have that career defining moment that will leave its mark in the history books forever.

WrestleMania is also well known for bringing in musical acts to play in between matches, perform the national anthem or even perform a wrestlers theme song as they make their way to the ring.

Many well known artists and bands including Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Aretha Franklin and Motorhead have performed at WrestleMania over the years.

This is my list of the top 10 bands I'd like to see perform at a future WrestleMania.

Foo Fighters

Although I can't recall the Foo Fighters having any connections to WWE, they have a big enough following that I'm sure they would get a very good reaction from the crowd compared to most of the other bands that have performed in recent memory.

This band has the type of energy that fits well with the wrestling environment.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

DOA

The Pretender

Monkey Wrench

Finger Eleven

Finger Eleven has had a long history with WWE; they've provided numerous songs for PPV's and they even performed "Slow Chemical," which Kane used as his theme for almost six years.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

Slow Chemical

One Thing

Paralyzer

AC/DC

Although AC/DC may not be very familiar to today's youth generation, they certainly have cemented themselves as one of the best Rock bands of all time, and they know how to put on phenomenal show.

They also have a small working relationship with WWE when they allowed songs from their "Black Ice" album to be used for PPV's.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

Shook Me All Night Long

Rock n` Roll Train

Back in Black

Lonely Island

Out of all the bands or musical acts on this list, this one is the most unlikely just because of the current PG product. But if this was during the Attitude Era or even the Ruthless Aggression Era, I think the crowd would go crazy because of how funny these guys from Saturday Night Live are.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

Jack Sparrow

I Just Had Sex

Natalie's Rap

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the few bands who have learned to adapt their style and stay current with each generation they've been around.

Not many bands can say they've had "Top 5" albums in three different decades.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

Under The Bridge

Scar Tissue

Dana California

Bono and U2

U2_display_image

U2 has worked with WWE in the past by providing music for their PPV's and even the "WWF Desire" videos back in early 2001. Just like Vince McMahon and the WWE, Bono (the lead singer of U2) is very big into charity work and helping others, so I'm sure it would only take a few minutes for both sides representatives to work out an agreement for WWE to donate U2's appearance fee to a charity organization.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

Beautiful Day

With or Without You

Sunday Bloody Sunday

Staind

WWE has used many of Staind's songs for PPV's and video packages. Their song "So Far Away" was used for a video package dedicated to Mick Foley on an episode of Monday Night Raw back in 2004.

Limp Bizkit (who got Staind their big break) has worked with WWE for over a decade, so I'm sure it would only take Vince McMahon one phone call to book them.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

So Far Away

Outside

Believe

Coldplay

I think Coldplay would be a good fit at WrestleMania during the PG era, as their lyrics are usually clean and they have a huge following, so most people in the crowd would recognize their music.

They recently worked with WWE when their song "The Scientist" was used for the phenomenal tribute video dedicated to "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

Clocks

The Scientist

Speed of Sound

Puddle of Mudd

Puddle of Mudd's hit single "Control" was used at the theme for the much talked about but often looked down upon Survivor Series 2001 PPV.

Aside from that they've also provided the theme to the 2004 Royal Rumble and a few other PPV's and video games. Just like Staind, Puddle of Mudd has a deep connection with Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit, so I'm sure it wouldn't take much haggling to get them on board.

Songs I'd like to see performed:

Blurry

Control

Psycho

Jim Johnston

Musicman2_display_image

This man has provided us with some of the most recognizable and loved theme songs for the last 26 years. I think it would be amazing to see him and his band or orchestra perform each wrestler's theme song live as they walk down the ramp for a WrestleMania match.

This would be kind of like when people saw a film in the 1920's and 1930's and a live band would provide the film score for each and every screening.

Honorable Mentions

Nickelback (currently provide the theme for Monday Night Raw).

Green Day (currently provide the theme for SmackDown).

Fozzy (I'd love to see Chris Jericho do his own entrance).

Motorhead (I know they've already performed, but it would be cool to see them again).

Metallica (after briefly using "For Whom The Bell Tolls at last years WrestleMania, I'd like to see them perform it live).
