The NFL playoffs are finally here, and fans can't help but be excited. Today's slate of games brings forth a lot of interest, as both are very good matchups and should be a lot of fun to watch.

So, here are my picks against the spread for the New York Giants against the Atlanta Falcons, and for the Denver Broncos against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pick FALCONS +3 vs. NEW YORK GIANTS

When I heard the Giants were favored by three points, I was somewhat surprised to be honest. I think that Atlanta is simply the better team here and should win this game. Julio Jones and Roddy White are going to be big in this game for Atlanta and I think they'll both have big games.

The Giants have an extremely overrated defense in my opinion, ranking 29th in passing and 19th in rushing defense. Matt Ryan should pick them apart. They have an anemic rushing attack, ranking last in the NFL in rushing. This will put the load squarely on Eli's shoulders.

When you look at the Giants schedule this season, they beat one, ONE team with a winning record. I advise readers to take the Falcons straight up in this game, and I don't even think it will be close. The Falcons will get the win this Sunday.

Pick PITTSBURGH -8 over Denver

This game is one that I'm really looking forward to. I think this one will be the biggest blowout of the weekend. Yes Big Ben is banged up and Ryan Clark can't play because of the altitude, but frankly, the Broncos don't even belong on the field on Sunday. They finished 8-8 and lost their last three. Tebow and the gang should be watching from the couch this weekend instead of playing.

However, the Broncos are here, and it makes me happy that I can confidently pick against them. Ben said he's only about a five out of 10 a few days ago, but that should be more than enough this week. I expect the Steelers D to punish Tim Tebow and force at least three turnovers. I think that the Steelers will turn turnovers into points and should win by a minimum of two touchdowns.

The defense will be looking to finally close the book on Tim Tebow, due to all the attention he gets, and this week it'll happen. Confidently roll with Pittsburgh this weekend, they should play very well and cover the eight points with ease.
