Love him or hate him, Sean Avery has been one of the NHL's most polarizing figures in recent years.

He's done it all from interning at Vogue to being suspended and cut numerous times. He's been endeared by home fans and teams while being despised by opposing player and fans.

He's scored goals, gotten in fights, gotten under his fair share of skin and dished out big hits. But most of all, Sean Avery has found himself in a lot of trouble.

Avery the Diver

Sean Avery has been notorious for diving over the years. This is just one example. Also of note is his dive after being hit by Jaromir Jagr. 

Shenanigans with Water Bottles

In this scenario, Sean Avery reverts to childlike actions by squirting Jody Shelley with his water bottle.

In a separate incident, Avery hurled water bottles in the crowd after being sent to the penalty box.
