WWE News: Is Rock Sticking Around Post-WrestleMania 28? His April Plans Revealed

David RutterCorrespondent IIIJanuary 6, 2012

WrestleMania 28 is only a few months away and one of the competitors for the main event hasn't been seen on WWE TV in almost two months.

One has to think that The Rock will be returning sooner than later to reignite his feud with John Cena and keep that storyline going.

But what about after WrestleMania 28? Does The Rock have any plans to stay around?

Well, according to James Caldwell, The Rock has made some plans for April and you may not like them.

From PWTorch.com

"'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson is in negotiations to co-headline a new movie, 'Empire State,'according to a report by Deadline.com receiving widespread entertainment industry attention. Rock would co-headline with actor Liam Hemsworth in the movie based on a real event in 1982 where $11 million was stolen from an armored car in New York. Movie production is slated to begin in April, which would be immediately after Rock's WrestleMania 28 main event with John Cena.

That's not what I was hoping to find out.

We all knew Rock would never do a full-time schedule again, but if you're in the main event of WrestleMania, you should at least stick around for a little while after the event. I wonder how this news will affect the booking of the match.

What do you guys think?

Are you surprised, or did you anticipate this?
