Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29?

Bleacher ReportAnalyst IJanuary 6, 2012

According to, Bill Goldberg has expressed an interest in facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29. He commented on his Twitter account earlier today about the possibility of a match with Lesnar by saying; "I'd do it."

WWE Executive Jim Ross made a comment on his Twitter account regarding the potential match by saying;

"@Goldberg vs Lesnar at WM29 would be miraculous ie HIGHLY UNLIKELY"

If this match were to take place, it wouldn't be the first time Lesnar and Goldberg faced each other in a WWE ring. They squared off at WrestleMania XX, but the match itself was a dismal failure. The main reason being fans knew that it was both Lesnar and Goldberg's final match in the WWE. There was no positive reaction from the crowd during the match itself, and not one, but both competitors were booed the entire match.

Again, if this match were to happen there would have to be a massive build in order for it to be a success. Although both men are in excellent shape, it would be nine years later. Time and age would show during this match, so it most likely would not be a marquee match. Brock Lesnar's last Twitter entry was Dec. 29, 2011; he has not posted any comments on this potential match.

Wrestling fans will just have to wait this one out to see what will happen.
