You have to hand it to Wladimir Klitschko with this offering after all the barking David Haye made about being granted a title shot only to showcase one of the most abysmal offerings in a championship fight in some time. This, of course, says nothing about the even worse display David Haye made after the fight by blaming his fiasco of a performance on his toe.
Wladimir Klitschko and his brother have seemingly been on cruise control in their quest to unify the heavyweight titles. They've made it look so easy that all the boxing public can focus on is how dismal the field is in terms of offering any semblance of competition.
When a young Mike Tyson made all the current heavyweight champions look like tomato cans, nobody seemed to mind all that much. With the Klitschkos, unfortunately, it's been a different story.
David Haye was supposed to change all that and offer something approaching a good fight. It turned out otherwise, to a degree that most sports writers have never stopped slamming everything they can possibly find about David Haye. It might get even worse now that David Haye is close to emerging from his "retirement" to fight Vitali Klitschko for his version of the championship.
All the same, Wladmir's pithy, understated little response—in the form of this video—to Haye's lead-up to their fight and the ensuing outcome caught many by pleasant surprise.
Maybe the Klitschkos' personality has been somewhat overlooked.
