The Michigan Wolverines (10-2) and Virginia Tech Hokies (11-2) will meet up Tuesday night in the Allstate Sugar Bowl inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Las Vegas oddsmakers opened up the Wolverines as one-point favorites on Dec. 4, 2011, but that number has risen to three at most sports books.

Casual bettors will find plenty of proposition wagers available for this nationally-televised contest on ESPN that kicks off at 8:30 p.m. ET, as many involve Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson.

Let's take a closer look at the offerings from a betting perspective.

First Pass of the Game

Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson completed 56.1 percent of his passes this year, including 14 of 17 attempts against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the regular-season finale.

There's always a chance that the Wolverines will try to go deep early, which gives an incomplete pass great value for his first passing attempt tonight.

The oddsmakers are inviting action on the "under" for this particular offering due to Denard Robinson completing more than 14 passes just three times in 12 games this season.

In last year's 52-14 bowl loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, he completed 27 of 41 passing attempts for 254 yards and two touchdowns with an interception.

The oddsmakers are setting up a trap with this particular offering, as everyone in the world knows Denard Robinson, but not many are familiar with Logan Thomas.

Virginia Tech's quarterback finished the regular season with 2,799 passing yards and 19 touchdowns, completing 59.2 percent of his passes and also rushing for 10 scores.

The 2012 Sugar Bowl features two quarterbacks that can run the football, which makes this a very interesting offering.

Denard Robinson is expected to finish tonight's affair with more passing and rushing yards than Logan Thomas.

The betting odds provide value for No. 16 of the Michigan Wolverines.

Denard Robinson -15.5 pass/rush yards (-110)

Logan Thomas +15.5 pass/rush yards (-120)

Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson is currently the second choice in the early wagering to score the 2012 Sugar Bowl's first touchdown.

Virginia Tech running back David Wilson is currently listed at betting odds of +350.

If you're really looking for a major score—play that no touchdown will be scored at astronomical odds of +12,500.
