Manchester United versus Arsenal FC—it's always a great occasion and this time it's proven to be another dramatic encounter.

To add to the event, an FA Cup quarter final place was up for grabs.

As an Arsenal supporter, defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Manchester United was always going to be hard to swallow. Both sides fielded second string sides which was a great insult to the prestigious FA Cup, but this has been a trend among the top football teams in England over the past few seasons.

As the game progressed, it was easy to see that sportsmanship wasn't a prerequisite to playing football. Tackles were flying all around the park and at the final whistle the four-nil scoreline was not something a team at the top of the league expected to happen.

Hopefully, Arsenal can recover in time for the AC Milan clash or else another embarrassing defeat could be awaiting them.

  1. I beg to differ..any team with even somebody like Rooney in it or Fabregas in it is the farthest thing from second string..they might be weaker..but not second string..The Rivalry??? it is a traditional rivalry my friend..you have only referred to this night.

  2. Well Salaar. I find your assesment of my article quite amusing and I am glad that there are people like you out there to entertain the rest of us. Traditional rivaly? Of course Mr Salaar....Any football fun from any part of the world knows that. I don't know what point you are trying to make by saying that I only referred to that one night.
