As of this writing, the first Monday Night Raw of 2012 starts in just over nine hours, and this has been the most anticipated episode in a long time.

The question on most wrestling fans' minds has to be "Who are these promos for?"

Honestly, I have no idea, and even if I did, I wouldn't say because spoilers suck.

So, let's take a look at some of the "possibilities" as to who could be returning/debuting or just tweaking their gimmick.

1. Chris Jericho

This is the easy choice for most wrestling fans. Jericho is still young enough to come back and deliver at a high capacity, and he'd been so successful at reinventing himself that almost any unusual hype video could signal the return of Y2J.

2. Vince McMahon

Since he got "relieved of his duties" back in July, Vince has only made one appearance on TV, and that was to repay the favor to Triple H in what can only be described as a very awkward and boring return. Vince then disappeared once again.

He's made numerous attempts to write himself off TV permanently over the last few years only to return, and quite frankly, I like seeing Vince on TV because everyone hates an arrogant egotistical boss, and Vince plays that to perfections.

3. Shane McMahon

I've only recently heard people talking about the videos referring to the return of Shane. While I would grant this a less then five percent chance, I can say this would be my personal favorite just because Shane is crazy and entertains like no other part-time performer.

4. Stephanie McMahon

It wouldn't be fair to mention Vinnie Mac and the demon seed without giving a nod to the "Billion Dollar Princess." Although her return to TV is much more likely than Shane, I think she is comfortable working behind the scenes only.

5. Brock Lesnar

Maybe one day, but that day isn't today.

6. Batista

Dave did mention a while back he'd be up for one more run, but we all know how he feels about the current PG product.

7. John Cena

Could this be the night John Cena turns heel? It would be an interesting start to the year! While I don't think it will happen tonight or anytime in the near future, never say never in professional wrestling.

8. Brodus Clay

His "redebut" has been pushed back for two months now, and Johnny Ace said last week that Clay will be at Raw tonight. Could he be the man that the videos are for?

9. The Undertaker

This list just wouldn't make sense if it didn't at least have Undertaker as a possibility. He hasn't been seen since WrestleMania 27, and no man has had weird cryptic videos hype a return more than the man from Death Valley.

Yes, the notebook in the video has the name "Chris" crossed off, but that could be to just get people talking. It could also be that Vince had the promos made before a potential contract was signed by the only man on the list with the name Chris.

So if the person coming back isn't named Chris, who could it be?

What do you guys think?
