The BCS strikes again. As far as I'm concerned the National title game on January 8, means nothing. How can the winner of Florida No. 1 and Oklahoma No. 2 be crowned national champion? Florida beat Alabama in this years SEC championship to earn the No. 1 college ranking. In turn shouldn't Utah now be thrust to the No. 1 ranking? Maybe not but they should be considered for the National title.
They won't though!
This is exactly what is going to happen; The winner of Florida and Oklahoma will be crowned National Champion despite having one loss because they come from a BCS conference. Utah will at 13-0, the only undefeated 1AA school in the land will be No. 2.
Why? Because they play in the non BCS Mountain West Conference. Their 31-17 romping of the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl will not be enough for this great Utah team. This whole scenario tarnishes the National title of Division I College football. How can the winner of the championship game celebrate knowing that their is an undefeated team out there. I don't know either, ask the BCS.
