For starters, Oakland must do something to shore up their horrid defense. 29th in the NFL is simply not going to cut it. Period. The Raiders made a big splash on offense by trading for Carson Palmer. Why not go the same route on defense? Whether it's through a trade or free agency, Oakland must bring in an elite defender, preferably in the secondary. Losing Nnamdi hurt. A lot.
Second, I think Oakland has to sort out their WR corps. DHB had his moments, and perhaps a true offseason with Palmer will help him become this team's true number one. Keeping Housh is also critical for Oakland. He's Palmer's security blanket and a veteran presence the WR corps so desperately needs.
