The Memphis Grizzlies had their season flash before their eyes when OJ Mayo fell into Zach Randolph's right knee.

The Grizzlies' star forward immediately fell to the court in a heap. He then rolled on the ground in pain, grasping his right knee.

At that moment, people all over the nation were able to hear the collective gasp of Grizzlies fans. It was safe to assume the worst. Anyone that has spent anytime watching basketball knows what that kind of scene invariably leads to—a tear in an internal part ending in "CL."

And that means the end of the season for the injured player. This is not an injury the Grizzlies are prepared to handle. Randolph is the heart and soul of this Grizzlies team. His brilliant play led them to a surprising playoff run, and he had picked up this season right where he left off.

In the Grizzlies first three games, Randolph is averaging 19 points and nine rebounds per contest.

Rest easy, Grizzlies fans; Randolph is going to be just fine. According to Eric Hasseltine of 92.9 FM ESPN, the injury was just a contusion.

Even with the health of Randolph, the Grizzlies still have some work to do. This team has limped out to a 1-2 start, and—as I type—they trail the Bulls 58-28 as the third quarter just gets under way.

At least they will now have the luxury of having Z-Bo to help them turn things around.
