Mark Sanchez, you have failed us.

Oakland’s extremely complicated playoff scenarios have just gotten a lot simpler, thanks to a pitiful performance by the Jets in their season finale and a very poorly-timed botched snap.

In a game that was meaningless for Houston, the Texans still put up a fight against the Titans and had a chance to win in the final seconds. After scoring a touchdown to get within one point, the Texans decided to go for two and the win. Even after a false start on the first attempt, which resulted in the ball being placed on the seven yard-line, Houston still decided to go for it–and the snap sailed past Jake Delhomme. The play never had a chance. Houston couldn’t come up with an onside kick, Titans win.

Since the Jets lost to the Dolphins, there’s only one way for Oakland to get to the postseason now: a win AND a Broncos loss. Let’s hope Kyle Orton has got some vengeance on his mind today, and root hard for Kansas City, Raider Nation.
