Happy New Years everyone! I hope you all had a fun and safe evening!
A few days ago I posted an article where I asked you (the reader) to vote for your favorite match, wrestler, diva, PPV and a few others.
So let’s keep this intro as short as possible…without further ado….here are the results!
The "Voice of the Voiceless" finally made it to permanent main event status with this match. Not only did we witness a historic ending to the match, but the match itself was filled with great actual wrestling by both Cena and Punk. The amazing crowd in Chicago added to the atmosphere with their witty chants like "You Can't Wrestle" which Cena would follow up with doing a move he hasn't done in six years that was performed quite well and then the crowd would respond with "You Still Suck".
The beautiful thing about this match was most people didn't know what was going to happen. There were no reports CM Punk had signed a new contract and once Vince walked walked with Johnny Ace I legit believed he had enough and was going to "screw" Punk like he did Bret Hart years ago.
Watching CM Punk win the title and escape through the crowd truly was one of the coolest things I've seen in wrestling because like I said.....no one knew if he signed a new contract or not.

This year we saw so many new young guys get pushed to levels we thought wouldn't come for years. Ziggler, Ryder, Rhodes, Barrett, Del Rio, Bryan, Morrison and a few others either competed for a major title on multiple occasions or they were involved in major feuds/storylines with well established veterans which when their story was done they were much more over than when they had begun.
However, no other superstar can claim to have the year that CM Punk did.
He took control of the Nexus in January.
Had a great match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania and Extreme Rules.
Cut one of the most powerful and jaw dropping promo's in June which left the wrestling industry in shock.
Had a 5-Star match with John Cena at Money in the Bank.
Won 2 WWE championships.
In the process of bringing back the WWE Ice Cream Bars!
Gained significant backstage influence with regards as to who to push and look at.
Overtook John Cena as the #1 merchandise seller.
Hopefully 2012 is just as good if not better for Mr. Punk.

R-Truth, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton. 1 Vote
If there's any current diva who can turn the divas division around it's Beth Phoenix. She's a phenomenal worker who seems to love what she does. She isn't some model who fell into the business just to have doors open for her and she's the current divas champion!
Along with Natalya she is one half of "The Divas of Doom." And with the way CM Punk has been pushing for change I'm sure 2012 will be a great year for Beth and all the women who can actually wrestle.

2011 marked the return of The Great One.
Not many people can go away for so many years, come back and be loved by everyone, but not everyone is The Rock!
His feud with John Cena certainly has had some hilarious/intesting moments.
For a man who only has appeared on TV around a dozen times, The Rock has had more amazing moments than most full time performers had all year long.
His first match in seven years at Survivor Series surprised most fans because not only did Rock still "have it" but he looked and seemed in better shape than he had ever been during his initial run with the company.
Here's to hoping The People's Champion sticks around after his match with John Cena at WrestleMania and continues to deliver jaw dropping moments like only he can!

There's not much I can say about this years Money in the Bank PPV that hasn't been said already. So I will just post a video that sums up all the greatness that was that night!
Royal Rumble. 1 Vote
Just like the previous slide, there isn't much I can say about this that hasn't been said aside from it was amazing and I really don't want to know what WWE would look like today if this didn't happen.

As a filmmaker and editor I know firsthand how powerful a trailer or video package can be when it comes towards enticing people to buy or watch your product.
World Wrestling Entertainment has one of the best video production teams in the world, no questions asked.
Even if a feud or its participants lack drama or charisma, these editors make them seem as its Oscar worthy material.
The build up to John Cena vs. The Miz was made even better when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was added to the mix. The Rock knows how to bring just the right amount of emotion to make what he says leaves an impact and the team behind this video package utilized that to the best of their ability.
John Cena vs. CM Punk (Money in the Bank) 4 Votes
Christian vs Randy Orton (SummerSlam) 2 Votes
Triple H vs. Undertaker (WrestleMania 27) 2 Votes
I'm not all that surprised this was a tie. There's been a ton of speculation as to who will be returning on Raw tomorrow night. Names being tossed around have been Chris Jericho, Undertaker, Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon or even Brock Lesnar.
The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 28 is a match that dreams are made from. Two years ago I would have never thought that this was possible, but never say never in the world of professional wrestling. This match has the possibility to be the most entertaining and emotional match in recent memory. There's no way to guess who will win. All I do know is the Road to WrestleMania and the build up to this match will be legendary.
If you made it this far I applaud you!
I'll be doing a new "IWC Votes" in a few days and I'd like you (the reader) to help me decide what to choose.
