CM Punk is in the middle of, in my opinion, a great WWE Championship reign.

With the recent issues regarding WWE ratings being below three, some critics believe that CM Punk will be blamed and will have an unsuccessful reign.

I am here today to give 10 reasons why CM Punk will have a successful reign.

This list is based on current WWE storylines and the product as a whole.

He's One of the Biggest WWE Babyfaces

Now that John Cena is officially hated by the majority of males 18 and over, CM Punk is the only main-event baby face on RAW that is excepted by every demographic.

Triple H and Undertaker are not full-time stars, and Zack Ryder is still in the midcard.

That leaves CM Punk as the No. 1 Baby face.

WWE Creative Will Not Give Him a Short Title Reign

After two short title reigns from John Cena and Alberto Del Rio, there's no way creative will take the title off Punk until WrestleMania season.

Long title reigns are good title reigns.

Just look what it did for The Miz.

He Has No Major Threats to the Title

Alberto Del Rio is out on injury.

The Miz is about to begin a feud with R Truth.

Cena and Kane are beginning a feud.

That leaves Dolph Ziggler as the only contender for the WWE Championship.

Now, I like Dolph Ziggler, but I honestly don't see him holding the WWE Championship until next summer at the earliest.

The only real threat I see to CM Punk's WWE Championship reign is Chris Jericho.

He's More Successful as a Face

Up until Money in the Bank, CM Punk had been a heel since the summer of 2009.

His numerous characters and his feuds on SmackDown were great, but it didn't take him to the next level.

With this title reign, he's finally on the track to superstardom.

His Matches Are Always 5 Stars

There are very few superstars within the WWE that can say each one of their matches is top notch.

Whether CM Punk is on RAW, SmackDown, a house show or a pay-per-view, he puts on great matches.

It's Original

Every year, WWE relies on these three men to carry them.

It's time for change. It's time for new main eventers.

Merchandise Sales

We all know Vince McMahon likes making money.

CM Punk took John Cena off his throne as the No. 1 money maker for merchandise.

As long as CM Punk is making money, WWE will keep investing.

No Other Options

This reason sums up slides three and six.

If CM Punk is not holding the title, then who would?

The Miz? John Cena? Kane? Ziggler?

Who? You tell me.

The WWE Brass Is Backing Him

WWE Creative has proven that they can get people into the main event.

Triple H believed in Sheamus, so he was put into the main event.

Triple H believed in Sin Cara, so he is being given chance after chance to get over with fans.

Vince McMahon believes in Alberto Del Rio, so he won the Royal Rumble, MITB and two WWE Championships in one year.

With creative backing CM Punk now, he will be in the title picture a long time.

Fans Want It

Before Zack Ryder started his YouTube show, he was nothing but an afterthought.

He was barely on WWE TV  and was on the verge of being released.

Now look at him. He is the United States Champion, has some of the highest merchandise sales and is featured on WWE's flagship show.

All of that happened because fans demanded WWE to make it happen.

Fans want CM Punk to hold the championship. Enough said.
