Jon Fitch's style might be boring to most mixed martial arts fans, but it sure is effective.

Fitch's wrestling credentials are some of the best in the welterweight division behind Georges St-Pierre, and he is widely regarded as one of the best welterweight contenders in the world.

The American Kickboxing Academy standout will return to UFC 141 to face fellow 170-pound contender Johny Hendricks.

A win for Fitch will allow him to retain his status in the division and remain in title contention. Since his lone loss to St-Pierre, Fitch has been consistent throughout his UFC career and he has earned five consecutive victories.

Fitch will look to continue to impose his dominance onto the rest of the 170-pound division, and he will likely find himself being matched alongside either Nick Diaz or Carlos Condit in 2012.

The Purdue University alumni's presence at welterweight will certainly keep the division stable and competitive for the foreseeable future. With other potential contenders in Diaz, Condit, Jake Ellenberger and Rory McDonald, Fitch should find enough competition to keep him busy until St-Pierre recovers from a knee injury and returns to the Octagon.
