Will Moose Come Home?

Every time I turn around it seems like someone is saying, “we have to find a receiver opposite of Steve Smith."

It makes my stomach turn whenever I hear or read that phrase.

My thought as is many of my Carolina Panther fans is, one man does not make a team.

But wait!

The Bears just released Muhsin Muhammad. The super talented wide receiver the Panthers let go after the 2004 Super Bowl season is available. Hmmm...could we make a Super Bowl team with two great receivers like everyone is saying?

Could I be wrong that it would only take two? Come on now, you know and I know that it takes more than two super receivers to make a Super Bowl team.

Panther management made a horrible mistake letting Muhsin go to Chicago. Does anyone remember why Muhsin left? He was due a ten million dollar roster bonus management didn't want to pay.

The record-setting pro-bowl receiver who teamed up with Smith on many occasions was let go. And what has happened to the Panthers since?

They've had mediocre seasons.

It seems that Hurney and Fox were content with .500. And then J.R. stepped up and invited the boys to the lake house and had a talk.

In my previous article with regard to bringing Alge Crumpler to the Panthers organization I asked, 'should we bring in an older player as a starter with a less resilient body'?

With no major injuries and no known major arthritis in his knees we can and we should bring back Muhsin.

Come home 'Moose', come home.
