Two players that could be on the move before the trade deadline this season are Deron Williams of the New Jersey Nets and Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic.

At this time, neither team is not looking to trade their franchise players just yet. Things could change as the season goes along.

One reason that both of these players could be on the move is that the Magic and Nets feel that Williams and Howard are going to bolt during free agency in 2012. Trading them at the deadline would allow both teams to get something in return.

The New Jersey Nets were not able to bring in an All-Star caliber player during the shortened free-agency period. Someone brought in prior to the season could play alongside All-Star guard Deron Williams.

However, Williams—who was acquired from the Utah Jazz at the trade deadline last year—is looking for another big-name player to join the Nets. In order to build a contending team, Williams has been adamant about this issue.

If the Nets are not able to bring in this type of player, then things could take a turn for the worse.

Starting center Brook Lopez underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot. He's expected to miss a good portion of the season.

The Nets will have to make do with the likes of Mehmet Okur, Kris Humphries and Shelden Williams splitting minutes at the center position.

Deron Williams has said that he would look to explore his options come free agency in 2012. The rumor mill has been filling up with possibilities.

One player that the Nets have been rumored to be interested in is Orlando Magic big man Dwight Howard. It seems at this point the Magic are reluctant to trade him.

They seem to still believe they can convince him to stay long-term in Orlando. Howard has also said that he would be exploring his options. He is not expected to return to Orlando, but keeps on changing his mind.

If the Magic decide internally to trade their franchise player, would they do a deal with the Nets? Or could they look to trade him to a team that offers them the best pieces?

Could Dwight Howard end up playing in Phoenix, Philadelphia or Dallas during the second half of the season? Where will Deron Williams be playing during the second half of the season?

The Nets could be out of luck if the Magic look to make this type of move with Howard.

However, it will be interesting to see what actually happens as the season progresses and ultimately what happens to both Williams and Howard.
