After the horrific "Christmas" edition of the LeBron 9s, they needed to drop something spectacular to redeem themselves.

Nike hit it out of the park with the LeBron 9 "Freegums." We see this shoe at its best with this color scheme, as it doesn't take away from the overall design, like some of the other 9s we've seen.

The Miami artist Freegums did a great job with these kicks. Let's take a closer look to see how they grade out.

"WOW" Factor: 8 out of 10

The lack of a horrendous eyesore of a color scheme takes away from the "WOW" factor of these shoes just a bit, but it's far better than the alternative.

These shoes aren't as shocking as some of the other LeBron 9s, but they still manage to garner attention. These flashy kicks make people stop and stare and don't leave them nauseated. They balance being ostentatious and simple, making the "WOW" factor high and still keeping the design sky high.

Design: 9 out of 10

These shoes truly are a work of art. Everything about them, down to the paper in the box, screams Miami. These kicks are what LeBron is all about and Freegums did an excellent job of embodying the city and King James with this spectacular design.

We see the 9s at their best here. The color scheme actually adds to the design and raises the appeal, making it impossible to give them any less than a nine out of 10.

Overall Swag Grade: 9 out of 10

These are the kind of sneaker junkies live for. The Jordan 11 "Concords" had the masses battling it out in shopping malls across America, but the "Freegums" can leave your swagger just as high and you won't have to risk your life to obtain them—which is a bonus.

Everybody is rocking the "Concords" now. If you want to go off the beaten path a bit and snag something far more unique and just as fresh, these are a great pickup.
